This Custard Gulab Jamun Popsicle Recipe was inspired from the Custard with Gulab Jamun Dessert. The kids went crazy when I shared this popsicle idea with them. Yes, it was so delicious to look at and tasted yum as well!!
To make this gorgeous looking dessert, you just need a pack of custard powder and some gulab jamuns. Assemble the dessert or this popsicle and you will have this superb dessert to enjoy.
Being summer time popsicles and juices / milkshake are more preferred that anything else.So do try out this easy dessert for the kids and watch them getting thrilled just by looking at it and jumping with joy after savoring it!

Here is how to make this super simple Custard Gulab Jamun Popsicle Recipe
Mix the custard powder with a little milk and keep aside. Heat milk in a pan and add sugar, simmer and add the custard powder mixture. Keep stirrring till it thickens.Remove from heat and let it cool.
In a popsicle mould place a small gulab jamun, top it with custard and alternate with gulab jamuns and custard till 3/4 full. Cover and freeze till set. When ready to serve, show the mould under running water.

A gorgeous looking popsicle to beat the heat
- 5 teaspoons Custard Powder
- 2 cups Milk
- Sugar to taste
- 15 Mini Gulab jamun [Homemade / tinned]

Dissolve the custard powder in a little cold milk and keep aside

Heat the remaining milk with sugar and once it comes to a boil, add the custard slurry and cook on medium flame till it thicken a bit

Remove from heat and let it cool.

Drain the gulab jamuns from sugar syrup and use for making the popsicle.

In a popsicle mould, place a gulab jamun and top with custard, keep alternating thse two layes till 3/4 full.

Cover and freeze till set.

Before serving, show under a tap , remove the popsice and enjoy!
- You can use ready to serve Gulab jamuns that are available in the market. Just drain them and use.
- Adjust the consistency of the custard by adding / decreasing the quantity of milk used.
- Custard will thicken on chilling so don’t over cook till it is too thick.
- I used home made marbe sized gulab jamuns in this recipe.
- If using regular sized jamuns, cut into half and place in the moulds.
